Piers Morgan and a member of Scottish Parliament exchanged savage insults in an extraordinary row on TV.
Morgan had invited Green Party MSP Ross Greer on to the ITV show to carry on a Twitter spat between the pair on Monday.
Things had kicked off after Ross tweeted that former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill was a “white supremacist mass murderer”.
The 24-year-old’s comments provoked the ire of Morgan who branded Greer a “thick ginger turd” who would be “spewing his filth in German” if not for Mr Churchill’s efforts.
Greer, who became Scotland’s youngest ever MSP at the age of 21 in 2016, stuck to his guns and accepted the challenge to debate Morgan on Good Morning Britain.
In fact he doubled down on his opinion, adding: “He (Churchill) consciously chose to starve 3 million Indians or death by taking food away, he used poison gas against Russians in the 20s, he believed in eugenics & the superiority of the white race, which to him justified the slaughter of Native Americans, Aborigines etc.”
Greer appeared via video link from Scotland and began by likening Morgan to a “honey-glazed gammon”, later calling him a “snowflake”.
Morgan hit back at Mr Greer, saying: “There’s a younger generation – and you absolutely epitomise this – who decide to twist history to suit a narrative that people like Winston Churchill are evil people who should be condemned.
“You have not shown a single positive thought process about Winston Churchill at all.
